The special manufacturing process - hot isostatic pressing under high pressure and temperature - enables the production of materials with finest microstructure and homogeneous composition. Furthermore, powder metallurgy can create chemical compositions that seem impossible with conventional methods. This makes excellent wear resistance possible. 

PM steels are ideal for applications where conventional materials reach their limits.
